Diary of a Cranky Cat – Momma Never Learns

Dear Diary,

I’m sorry it’s been so long since I last made an entry.  Momma is the vessel I use to write and she’s been a little busy.  Yep.  That’s right.  Momma did it again.  She went to another rescue organization and brought home a human kitten.  (Head shake) She never learns.  You would think after the great Little Thing fiasco of 2012 Momma would’ve adopted a human kitten that’s already been potty trained.  Alas, this one – whom I shall refer to as the Little Thing’s Minion, is also not potty trained.

Despite that oversight, I have to say the Little Thing’s Minion is kind of cute.  She looks a little like Momma except that she’s ugly and doesn’t have as much hair.  Oh…and she’s not fat like Momma either. That reminds me.  It’s January.  Momma needs to call Jenny or join Weight Watchers or something.

My predictions were correct.  Change came and I don’t like it.  Not one little bit!  Little Missy and I aren’t allowed in the bedroom at night.  Rude!  Momma has acquired this strange aversion to allowing me to sleep in the bedroom when the Little Thing’s Minion is in there.  She made one exception when she decided to take a nap with the Little Thing’s Minion in the bassinet next to her bed.  I was already sleeping at the foot of the bed.  Momma said I could stay where I was but if I went anywhere near the Little Thing’s – awe heck! I can’t keep writing that name out.  It’s too long.  From this point forward the Little Thing’s Minion will be known as Minion.  That’s much easier.

As I was saying.  If I went anywhere near the Minion, Momma would make sure that, with my last dying breath, I watched as she flushed all of my puff balls down the toilet – one by one.  I’m seriously considering filing a police report against Momma.  That was a horrible thing for her to say to me.

On a happier, less stressful note, Momma finally acknowledged that this really is MY blog.  She changed the name of it again – for the 400th time – to Snarky Sentiments of Cranky Cat and her Witty Human.  Overall I like the new name but I feel it really should be called Snarky Sentiments of a Witty Cat and her Cranky Human.  Ever since she brought the Minion home she hasn’t had much sleep.

I tried to warn her.  Momma never learns!

This is Gwennie – Signing off!
